Privacy Policy

This policy explains what information My Money Ledger collects, how it is used, where it is stored, and the choices available to you.

Effective date: 24 September 2026 • Last updated: 24 September 2026

CodeMicros (“we,” “us,” or “our”) operates the My Money Ledger mobile application (“App”) on Android and iOS.

This Privacy Policy explains what information the App collects, how it is used, where it is stored, and the choices available to users.

1. Age requirement

My Money Ledger is intended for users aged 18 years and older.

The App is not designed or directed toward children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe that a child has provided personal information through the App, contact us so that we can delete it.

2. Information we collect

Account information

Signing in is optional because the App provides a Guest Mode.

If you sign in using Google or Apple, we may receive:

  • Your name
  • Your email address
  • A unique Google, Apple, or Firebase user identifier
  • Your selected authentication provider
  • Authentication tokens required to keep you signed in

We do not receive or store your Google or Apple password.

Firebase Authentication processes sign-in information to authenticate users, secure accounts, and provide account-management functionality.

Ledger and financial information

When you use the App, you may enter:

  • Account and sub-account names
  • Account descriptions
  • Transaction titles
  • Transaction descriptions
  • Transaction amounts
  • Credit or debit status
  • Transaction dates
  • Ledger balances
  • Information imported from CSV files

This information is used only to provide the App’s ledger, transaction-management, backup, import, export, and synchronization features.

Ledger information is not provided to Google AdMob for advertising targeting.

Guest Mode information

When you use Guest Mode, your accounts and transactions are stored locally on your device.

Guest ledger information is not uploaded to our Firebase database. It remains on your device until you:

  • Select “Clear guest data” inside the App
  • Clear the App’s storage
  • Uninstall the App

Advertising, analytics, diagnostics, and update checks may still operate while using Guest Mode.

Analytics and app activity

The App uses Firebase Analytics. Firebase Analytics may automatically collect:

  • App launches
  • Screens viewed
  • Feature interactions
  • Taps and other product interactions
  • App-instance identifiers
  • Device type and model
  • Operating-system information
  • App version
  • Language and regional settings
  • General technical and diagnostic information
  • IP address and network information

We use this information to understand how the App is used, improve features, monitor performance, and troubleshoot problems.

We do not intentionally send account names, transaction descriptions, transaction amounts, or other ledger contents to Firebase Analytics.

Advertising information

The App uses Google AdMob to display banner, interstitial, and rewarded advertisements.

Google AdMob may automatically collect or process:

  • IP address
  • Approximate location inferred from the IP address
  • Android Advertising ID
  • iOS advertising identifier when permitted
  • App Set ID or vendor identifiers
  • Device and account identifiers
  • App launches
  • Ad impressions
  • Ads viewed
  • Ad clicks and other ad interactions
  • Video-ad views
  • Diagnostic information
  • Performance information
  • Crash-related information
  • App launch time
  • Hang rate
  • Energy usage
  • Fraud-prevention and security information

This information may be used for:

  • Displaying third-party advertisements
  • Advertising measurement
  • Analytics
  • Limiting how often advertisements appear
  • Detecting fraudulent or invalid advertising activity
  • Security
  • Personalized advertising where permitted by law, consent, and device settings

You can restrict advertising personalization or reset/delete your advertising identifier through your Android, iOS, Google, or Apple privacy settings.

Authentication and technical information

Firebase Authentication may process:

  • IP address
  • Firebase application identifier
  • Firebase user identifier
  • Device platform
  • Authentication provider
  • SDK and App version information
  • User-agent information
  • Security and fraud-prevention information

This information is required to authenticate users and protect accounts against unauthorized access and abuse.

CSV import and export

The App allows you to select CSV files for importing transactions and create CSV exports.

The App accesses a file only after you choose it.

For Guest Mode users, imported information remains locally stored on the device.

For signed-in users, imported transaction information may be uploaded to Google Cloud Firestore as part of their ledger.

Exported CSV files are saved to a location selected by the user. They remain in that location until the user deletes them.

App update information

The App may contact Google Play or Apple’s App Store to check whether a newer version is available.

An update check may process:

  • Current App version
  • Android package name or iOS bundle identifier
  • Device country or locale
  • IP address
  • Standard network-request information

3. How we use information

We use information to:

  • Authenticate users
  • Create and manage user accounts
  • Store and synchronize ledger information
  • Provide Guest Mode

Google and Apple

Google and Apple may process information when you:

  • Sign in using Google or Apple

We do not sell users’ ledger entries, transaction information, names, or email addresses for money.

AdMob’s use of advertising identifiers and device information may be considered “sharing,” “targeted advertising,” or a “sale” under certain privacy laws.

5. Legal basis for processing

Where applicable, we process personal information based on:

  • Providing the App services requested by the user
  • User consent, where consent is legally required
  • Our legitimate interest in operating, improving, and securing the App
  • Preventing fraud and abuse
  • Compliance with legal obligations

Where processing is based on consent, users may withdraw consent using available device, Google, Apple, or advertising privacy settings.

6. Data storage and retention

Signed-in accounts

Account information and cloud ledger data are retained while the account remains active.

Users can delete individual transactions, accounts, or their complete My Money Ledger account.

Guest Mode

Guest ledger information remains on the device until it is cleared by the user, removed through device settings, or deleted when the App is uninstalled.

Exported files

CSV exports remain in the location selected by the user until the user deletes them.

Analytics and advertising data

Analytics, advertising, security, and diagnostic information is retained according to the applicable Firebase, Google Analytics, AdMob, Google, and Apple retention policies.

Backups and legal retention

After deletion, limited information may remain temporarily in secure backups until normal backup deletion cycles are completed.

Some information may be retained longer when required for:

  • Legal compliance
  • Security
  • Fraud prevention
  • Dispute resolution
  • Enforcing legal rights

7. Account and data deletion

Signed-in users can delete their account and associated active ledger data from inside the App:

  1. Open My Money Ledger.
  2. Open the dashboard menu.
  3. Select Delete My Account.
  4. Confirm the deletion.
  5. Complete identity verification if requested.

This deletes the Firebase account and associated active accounts, sub-accounts, and transactions.

Guest users can delete locally stored ledger data by selecting Clear guest data from the dashboard menu.

Users who cannot access the App may request account deletion by emailing amitbahadur1994@gmail.com.

Use the subject: My Money Ledger deletion request.

Send the request from the email address connected to your Google or Apple sign-in account. Never send your password or authentication code.

Verified external deletion requests will normally be completed within 30 days unless a different period is required or permitted by law.

Analytics and advertising records controlled by Google may be retained according to Google’s retention policies. CSV files exported outside the App must be deleted separately by the user.

8. Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards to protect information.

Information transmitted to Firebase and AdMob is encrypted during transmission using HTTPS or TLS.

However, no electronic storage or transmission system is completely secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security.

9. International data transfers

Google, Apple, Firebase, AdMob, and their service providers may process information in countries other than the country where the user lives.

Where required, international transfers are protected using recognized legal safeguards, contractual protections, or adequacy decisions.
